“It is my mission as an early learning professional to bring the understanding and compassion that is needed to support children and families during the earliest and most formative years of their development. I believe it is essential to collaborate with families to assure the highest quality services are being provided for children.”
Program Coordinator for Infants/Toddlers-Edie Higby
I have over 20 years of experience as an Early Childhood Professional and am very passionate by my work with families and children. I have a Child Development Associates credential as well as all the Washington State Stackable ECE Certificates and AAS – in Early Childhood Education. I am currently completing my BA at Whitworth University in Social Service & Public Administration.
“My teaching philosophy is simple: “Delight in a Child” – Encourage & Inspire: Wonder, Creativity, Investigation and Exploration…that’s where the “Magic” happens! We can’t individualize for children, facilitate accurate assessments or create quality learning environments without knowing children’s personalities and what they are interested in learning. When we SMILE with children and experience their world together that is how we determine their needs: spiritually, emotionally and physically”
